Hello.  Welcome to my blog, “A Lady in Adelaide”.

I am a freelance writer and photographer with a strong interest in people, travel, wellness and culture.

I believe in discovering the magic of people, places and culture through enriched travel experiences.

I will never forget how it felt to stand at the summit of Huacawasi Pass at almost 4800 metres above sea level. I had just completed a gruelling uphill hike on the Lares Trek. The view of the Andean mountains and valley made the hike worthwhile.  The wind was crisp and cold.  I experience four seasons all in the span of fifteen minutes – rain, hail and snow which covered the grey rocks in a light, white blanket. Then the sun re-emerged to cast a kaleidoscope of colour across the landscape. It was a memory I will hold close whenever I travel.

I am a big fan of learning and new experiences. A huge part of this includes travel. As an avid traveller, I have learnt a lot from people and places I have visited. These experiences have inspired me to write and create stories to share with likeminded travellers and anyone who likes to do things differently.

I am fortunate to have travelled to some of the most amazing destinations such as Europe, South America, Asia, Canada, the United States and, of course, Australia.  Travel is one of the best ways I know to experience and learn about other cultures.

The travel focus I pursue is on wellbeing, health, people, culture, independent and adventure travel. Whether it be local, national or international travel, I believe all experiences can add value to who you are as an individual. Most importantly, what we learn while travelling can be brought back to our work lives in terms of residence, strength and leadersip.

Health and well-being is an important part of our lifestyle whether it be travelling the world, in the workplace or at home.  Australians are known for their positive outlook on a healthy lifestyle and I hope to share some tips I have discovered along the way to stay safe and healthy.

Please feel feel to share your thoughts on any of the stories  which resonate a connection for you. I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences as well.

Travel – Wellbeing – Lifestyle – Leadership

  1. Hello Lady Adelaide (would that make you an Adelaidy?)! I’ve decided to read and follow 15 interesting and new blogs a day every day for the first month of 2015, and yours is today’s #2! Feel free to come visit me when you can at http://www.thatssojacob.wordpress.com, and follow if you like what you read. Happy new year and happy blogging!

    1. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I was inspired to create this name when I was browsing through other blogs and websites. Although my aim was to focus on travel, I wanted a name that would allow me to explore other topics and one that I would be happy with.
I will definitely drop by your blog. There are so many good reads out there.
