There is no question that 2020 changed the world forever. But what did these events teach us? Have we taken on board the lessons thrown at us to improve the way we live into our future?
The biggest lesson we can take away from 2020 is that change is constant. You may not like change and yes change is scary, but it will always be there.
This year was a time to reflect on and analyse what is really important to you. As we discovered it was the people in our lives that mean the most to us. The relationships we develop and connections that are made each day.
While the world was locked away from each other, this became clear. While some made the most of their isolation time, others were more vulnerable without social contact. Especially with the increase in mental health calls for assistance.
This year taught us not to take the freedom and opportunities we gave for granted. You don’t realise how much you miss something until it’s gone.
We have had to find the strength and resilience to push forward this year. Something that may be unfamiliar. However, when you are faced with no other choice you find the strength and determination to make changes in your life.
Life is a journey. We need to remember what is important and not take anything for granted. As we have seen, situations can change in the blink of an eye.
We need to remember who we are and take steps each day to ensure we don’t lose sight of our true goals.
